パソコンって高いけど、正直サポートって必要か？ [経済産業]
最近は色々な所で不祥事が多発しています。
民間、役所とわず毎日のようにニュースがあります。
さて、みなさんは、パソコンやインターネット、家電などでサポートセンター（コールセンター：お客様窓口）に電話した事が有るだろうか。
そもそも商品の値段が高くなる原因が、サポートの費用が一割以上といって良い程、金が掛かっている。
パソコンなんて、中身は、基盤（マザーボード）に記憶装置（ハードディスク）と入力装置と電気制御装置に筐体に納められているだけである。
それでバカ高い値段である。
パソコンのCPUは電気屋で値段をみると、〜１万〜３万円で売っているが、パソコンメーカーは大量購入するので、１個あたりAMDやインテルから３千円〜５千円程度で買っているのである。
HDDも５００GBで５千円ぐらいで買っている。
メモリー（DRAM）はスポット価格で５１２MBで5米ドル（６００円）程だ。
結果、OSなしのコンピューターで、２万円ぐらいでつくれるのである。
（オプションでガチャガチャつけて値段が跳ね上がるが...）
でOSは、Windows自体は実を言うと、
デルやHPのような世界規模のPCメーカーですと、XPのシールとOSの権利で、１台あたり(2,500円!??)3,000~5,000円でマイクロソフトから仕入れるのです。
VISTAでも１万円はしないそうです。
日本のメーカーもマイクロソフトとの力関係で値段が変わります。
そして、PC会社が独自に改造を施します。
そこで普通に売っているマイクロソフトOSとPCにインストールされているOSで、
サポートが変わってきます。
マイクロソフトとしては、PCメーカーがOSのサポートをするので、経費が掛かりません。
実は、この電話サポートに金が掛かっているのです。
PCメーカーはサポート要員に８時間あたり２万円の給料を払うと仮定します。
コールセンター運用費用もかかります。
さらにフリーダイヤルだとかければかける程値段が跳ね上がります。
また、待つ人が多いとその分悪循環です。
仮に２０００人規模（総トータル）でコールセンター運営をすると、
もの凄く莫大な金額が動きます。
本来、パソコンも故障受付だけすれば１／１０以上に減らせると思いますが。
結局、説明書やホームページを見て調べない、メールで問い合せをしない、
などの悪循環で、値段が跳ね上がります。
よって、１台あたりのコールセンター費用が、２０万円のパソコンで、
５万円は掛かっていると仮定しても、恐ろしいです。
プロバイダーも同じです。
結局プロバイダーのコールセンターで一番問い合せが多いのが、
１）PPP、PPPoE（IPsec）の認証方法。
２）メールの設定方法。
また、OB25規制などを始めると、問い合せが増えます。
「１）」と「２）」が全体の６割を占めるそうです。

ここに書いている事が、大体の質問内容な訳です。
正直、調べればわかるんですがね。
レンタルサーバー会社やISPで安い所は、コールセンターの経費を徹底的に押さえています。
それだけ金がかかります。
いまのプロバダイーは、
バックボーン運用費用＋ホールセール先（NTT東西フレッツやACCAやUCOM、KDDI、イーアクセス、ひかりone、AirH"など）の費用+IPアドレス代（JPNIC仕入れ）サーバー運用費だけで、800円~1200円ぐらいまで費用が抑えられるはずです。
1,800円〜3,000円以上まで、費用がかかる理由が、付加サービス（バナーがついているのでトントンか？）以上に、
コールセンター代です。
so-netもどこか分かりませんが、どこかのコールセンター会社に丸投げしているはずです。
ただ、先日コンテンツの件でサポートメールした所、担当者が、(名前).(名字)＠so-net.co.jp のアドレスから、返事が来たので、マニュアル対応部署は、どこかのコールセンター会社でしょうか。
結論は、電話サポートしないのが一番な訳です。
