マイクロソフトのセキュリティー態度に疑問を感じます。 [コンピュータ]
最近は、ウイルスやインターネットのセキュリティーをついた、
色々な攻撃や改ざん等が多いですが、
今日はマイクロソフト社の企業方針として、疑問があり、
みなさんに提議させて頂きたい。
今日は、HTMLメールについて書きたいのですが、
わたしは先日ヤフーで、HTMLメールについてどう思うかと、
アンケートをしました。
【質問内容】
あなたは、HTMLメールを送りますか？
【回答】
*Aさん
「テキスト正式」でのメール使用です。
メールの基本的なマナーにも当てはまるので、
HTMLメールを業務で使うことは無いです。
文字の余計な装飾や巨大な添付ファイル、
Outlookユーザーにマナーのない人は多い気がします。
*Bさん
HTML便利なので使用しています。
赤で訂正入れたり、強調は青にしたり、WEB画像を貼り付けたり等、
潤滑な意思疎通に大いに役立っています。
*Cさん
当社では発信メールはテキストです。
会社でも（テキストメールと）義務付けられています。
企業によっては、メーラを指定する所もありますね。
っという回答を頂きました。
あくまでもこれは企業内メールでの話です。
Bさん以外の会社では、テキストメールで送るのが常識です。
また、ヤフーのオークションなどメール取引でも、
「テキストメールで」っというのも多いですね。

現状、通販サイトの確認メールや多種多様なメルマガで多くHTMLメールを配信しています。
私自身が、なぜHTMLメールがいけないのか、また警鐘するのかと言うと、
世の中のメールを受信する人全てが、HTMLを読めるメーラーでしょうか。
OSが違ったりも勿論します。
また、OSによってはセキュリティーホールとなったりもします。
さて、ここで本題ですが、
マイクロソフト社からメールが来ました。

>当窓口と致しましては多くのお客様のニーズにお応えするため、
>HTML メールを利用しております。
この点で、わたしは我が目を疑いました。
コンピュータOSの世界的市場を席巻しようとする企業が、
こういう価値観で経営をしている事に、呆れます。
>またお客様のご指摘の通り、かつては HTML メールを表示できないメーラーや、
>メーラーのセキュリティ上の脆弱性をついた悪質な意図を持ったメールによる
>被害がありました。
これはまぎれも無い事実です。総務省からもプロバイダを通して、
注意喚起メールを出す程深刻な問題な訳です。

「現在使われているメーラー」ですが、ベッキーやlinuxのメーラー、
MacのMailのメーラーも考えておらず、
自社のOutlook ExpressとOffice Outlookが対策済みであるから、
マイクロソフトは、安全と宣言しているのです。
マイクロソフトは全ての人が、MS製品を使い、セキュリティーパッチを当てて使うのが、
あたりまえだからその通りにしろ！と言っているのです。
例えば、小笠原諸島や沖縄県の離島の方など常時接続ブロードバンド回線じゃない人も、
現実ながらいるのです。
そして、少数ながら、まだまだダイヤルアップ接続のナローバンドの方々が多くいらっしゃるのです。
それらを無視し、マイクロソフトの言う事は「世界の常識だ！」
と言わんばかりの態度です。

「わかりやすい」との事ですが、テキスト文字だけでも、十分に伝わります。
HTMLメールを使わなくても、文章や記号、URLの貼付けで、
十分に伝えれないのは、マイクロソフト社の怠慢にほかありません。
私自身、今回のメールを受け取り、マイクロソフト社が、
セキュリティーに対して、いい加減な部分があると断言する事が出来ました。
私自身、セキュリティーの面で心配という事も有り、
Unixベース（SBD）のMacを使っている訳です。
そして、Linuxも使う訳です。
マイクロソフト社の文章には、
「セキュリティーソフトを買うのは当たり前です！」と書いているのです。
つまり、マイクロソフト社のOSにはバグ（欠陥：穴）があり、
パッチを当てても品質に問題がありますので、
「セキュリティーソフトを買ってお使いください。」っと言っているのです。
Linuxのサーバを私自身構築してますが、定期的にパッチを当てています。
オープンライセンスの方が、かえって安全と言えます。
HTMLメールそのものがなぜいけないのか整理すると、
１）メーラーによって、表示しないなどの点が考えられる。
２）無駄な装飾があり、メールボックスの容量を消費してしまう。
３）セキュリティー上の問題がある。
４）送信先に迷惑になる。
つまり、個人的にも仕事でもメールはテキスト形式で送るのが、
そもそもメールの成り立ちからすると正しいのです。
マイクロソフト社は、インターネットエクスプローラやMS製メーラーが
世界標準であるから、HTMLメールも世界標準だといっているのです。
彼等のセキュリティーに対する考え方には疑問です。
また、先日も某大手通信事業者（親会社が半官半民企業）の方からメールを頂きました、
その会社からもHTMLメール形式でした。
私はこの一件で、セキュリティーに対する姿勢がわかったように感じます。
私の考え方ですが、
世間一般のIT企業と言われる会社で、「HTMLメールで送る企業」とは、取引したく有りません。
ITに無関係な会社では、ある程度我慢します。
ただ、ITとは関係のない企業に限っては、テキストメールで送るのが、
常識としてとっている企業が多い気がします。

【HTMLメールではなく】【テキスト形式】で送信して頂く様に、
こころに留めて頂ければ幸いです。

Outlookのメールを間違って全削除
マイクロソフトが新発売したアンチウイルスソフト「Windows Live OneCare」がOutlookのメールをすべて削除してしまうという事態が相次ぎ、マイクロソフトのフォーラムで大騒ぎになっているとの事です。
マイクロソフト製品は心配で使えませんね。
