このニュースにちなんで、今日は、衛星放送のラジオ局、Winjの話題である。

衛星ラジオ2社の合併は何を意味するのか--ブログ界の反応という記事を見ましたが、この記事を要約すると、
Sirius Satellite Radioは、XM Satellite Radioを46億ドルで買収するというお話です。
日本でも同じ様な話として、WINJがある。
以前のBlogにもかきましたが、過去ログ、この放送局が、いちど放送休止をしてから、
２月１日から復活する予定が、いまだに復旧の目処が立っていない。
つまりどういう事かというと、
2003年10月から放送を行っているWINJ は、本来は有料放送だが、長期間ノンスクランブルで放送し、事実上の無料放送が続いています。2006年10月31日で放送を休止しました。
ここの放送局の番組審議委員の【東京経済大学コミュニケーション学部 山田晴通 教授】のページを観ると、
詳細がわかるのですが、この放送局は結局、売り抜くための手段の放送局
であった事だったようです。
私自身も、衛星があれば自宅でも聴きたいのですが、我が家には衛星すら無く、聴けません。
ただ、この放送局が今後どうなるのか、気になる所です。
ここの放送局の最大の宝は、「自然の音」を収録したコンテンツです。
それを売り抜こうとして失敗したのかもしれません。
結局のところ、このまま放送が再開されずに、倒産という事も、考えられます。
私としては、残念の事です。
放送局の買収って、結局はマネーゲームになるとしか思えないのです。
だから免許制があるわけだし、外資規制も有る訳だ。
この間の、TBS楽天騒動、フジテレビライブドア騒動じゃないですけど、
やはりもっと考えなければいけない所が、ある気がします。
